How to Get There

By Car:

From Bangkok take the Mittaparp Road via Udon Thani to Nongkhai.

At Nong Khai take highway 212 going east.

The turning for Phu Wua (and Kham Pia) is well signposted, it is on the right close to the km 179 milestone.

Kham Pia village is about 3 km from the junction. Look for the signs to the visitors centre.

To get to the Phu Wua headquarters, go straight through the village and follow the road for another 3 km.

By Public Transport

From Udon Thani (there are 2 bus stations – the Boow Kaw Saw station is the smaller and the one you need) or Nongkhai, take the 224 bus (leaves every hour from 6:00 until 13:00 from Nongkhai) to Bung Kla and get off at Ban Kham Pia. Our drivers will be waiting to take you the rest of the way or take a tuk tuk to Ban Kham Pia and the Visitors Centre.
From Bangkok (north bus station), take the 407 Pattana company bus to Bung Kla, then get a tuk tuk to the Ban Kham Pia visitors centre. Buses leave from Bankok in the evening at 18:00, 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00. Purchase a ticket at the bus station in queues 10, 11, 12, 107 or 108. Pattana Co phone number 0299234757.

You can arrange for a special pickup and return to Nongkhai or Udon Thani. Ask for price and particulars.
