Attractions and Things to do: Stay in a Traditional Isan home stay (Bed and Breakfast) and experience village life first hand (200 baht per night per room for up to 3 people plus meals) Spend the night in an Elephant Watching Tree House in Pu Wua Wildlife Reserve ( 200 baht per night plus guide and meals). Have a traditional Thai massage (100 baht per hour) Take a half day trip to Wat Pu Tok (600 baht) Visit an abandoned forest temple cave (Jan Tom Cave) on Pu Wua (200 baht) or spend the night there (300 baht) Visit the nearby forest temple (100 baht) Take a guided trek on a variety of nature trails for all levels (half day trek (2 guides 400 baht, full day trek (2 guides 600 baht, overnight treks guided 800 baht per day) Enjoy one of the many beautiful waterfalls or scenic viewpoints. Take a ride in a wooden long boat on the Mekong River. Take a tour of the village with an English speaking guide and see villagers weaving cloth, making baskets, processing rice, and mending fishing nets and learn about Isan village life from your village guide (50 baht). Look for abundant wildlife: wild elephants, Malayan sun bears, leopard cats, golden cats, samba deer, gaur, Phu Wua lizards, anteaters and butterflies of every colour of the rainbow including the golden birdwing with a wingspan of 12-19 cm. Take a boat ride on the Mekong River and see people and fishermen at their daily tasks. Have dinner at a restaurant on the Mekong River and watch the sun set (about 30-100 baht per person plus transportation). Visit a Christian church and village nearby.
